This package is an online arrangement only, where everything is arranged online or by the phone with Simpler Cremations.
Once the online arrangement has been completed, the legal person responsible for handling the funeral arrangements will be contacted by email or phone to have necessary documents completed and to go over the arrangement. Package includes:
- Cremation may not take place for up to 7 days after the death and once we have received the medical certification of death from doctor/coroner.
- Online or phone arrangement with licensed funeral director
- Professional services of funeral directors
- Transfer of deceased from place of death to funeral home/crematorium (transfer of deceased within Vancouver, Burnaby, North Shore)
- Refrigeration, sheltering, and sanitation
- Cremation fee (we own and operate our own crematorium)
- Documentation & registration of death
- CPA fee (payable to consumer protection agency of BC)
- Online obituary on our website
- Completion of CPP death benefit, survivors pension & notice to cancel CPP & OAS forms
***The Cremation Fee is for persons weighing less than 300 lbs. Decedents in excess of 300 lbs. may incur additional crematory fees as outlined in our General Price List.

Questions
- Select if the deceased has a pacemaker or defibrillator.
- Select if you would like to have our staff wash and dress your loved one for the cremation. Clothing will need to be provided by the family.
- Select if you would like to attend the cremation (you will not see any of the cremation process, you will simply be able to be present at the crematorium for when the cremation takes place)
- Select if you or your family would like a 1-hour private viewing of the deceased.
- Select if you authorize embalming of the deceased.

Disposition of the Urn*
- Pick up of urn at our office
- Hand delivery of urn to home (North Shore, Vancouver, Burnaby)
- Mailing of urn (Mailing of urn through Canada Post)
- Private scattering of cremains (A director will contact you with the details.)
We will be in contact with the legal person responsible for handling the funeral arrangements to schedule a day to pick up the urn from our office. This will be scheduled within 5 business day following the cremation date.
We will be in contact with the legal person responsible for handling the funeral arrangements to schedule a day to deliver the urn to them within 5 business days following the cremation date. We only hand deliver the urn to residences in West Vancouver, North Vancouver, Burnaby, and Vancouver.
Mailing of the Urn is handled through Canada Post. We cannot guarantee the exact day the urn will arrive but an estimation based on the selected delivery method with Canada Post. Be aware that customs or international border and their regulations may slow the arrival of the urn.
